I’m excited to be a new writer for Militaryfamily.com!
I am Julie and married to a soldier in the US Army named Ben. We are both from California and met back in 2001. We have been married almost 10 years now. We have three little boys. Daniel is 7.5, Drew is 5.5 and Joshua is a little over 1.5 years old. In January Drew was diagnosed with Asperger’s and we are slowly trying to figure out what that all means and the best way to help him. We became an Army family in 2005 after being married for a little over 3 years. It was a big change in our lives and has taken a while to get used to. We spent four years in Germany and have been stationed at Ft. Campbell now for a little over two years.
I started my first Army wife blog back in 2009 during our 2nd deployment. I loved blogging and wanted a place to share what I was going through and get to know other Military wives. I now have the blog Soldier’s Wife, Crazy Life where I talk about my life as an Army Wife. Our family has been through three deployments and three PCS moves. I realized back in 2009 that the Army life can be quite difficult and figured there were others out there going through or about to go through what we had experienced with back to back deployments.
In addition to blogging I am an Independent Scentsy Director and also enjoy photography. I am always reading a book and enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
The Military life has been interesting but we have also been able to do a lot of things we never thought we would. I love to travel so when we were in Germany we traveled as much as we could handle with two little boys. My sons have been to 11 countries and I think that is pretty awesome.
I look forward to writing for Military Family and sharing my experiences as an Army Wife.
